About Me
Marcia Williams Young is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in trauma recovery for adults. I help clients heal from the impacts of childhood trauma, sexual violence and domestic abuse. I also support individuals navigating life transitions, adjustment challenges and relationship or attachment concerns.
My practice is built on a trauma-informed, collaborative approach that honors each client’s unique story, identity, and lived experience. I provide a safe and supportive space to explore emotions, behavioral patterns, relationship dynamics and personal growth, always moving at a pace that feels respectful and empowering.
I believe that healing happens through connection, curiosity, and compassion. I work closely with clients to foster insight, resilience and lasting emotional well-being. I welcome individuals who are seeking clarity, growth, and meaningful change, and I am honored to walk alongside them on their journey toward greater balance, healthier relationships, and deeper self-understanding.

Practice Philosophy
The Practice
I use an integrative, trauma-informed approach, drawing from evidence-based methods such as CBT, psychodynamic therapy, EMDR and DBT. This tailored framework helps you understand how past experiences influence current patterns while building practical skills for emotional regulation and healthier coping. Progress is paced with your safety and trust as the priority. Together, we will develop self-awareness, resilience and agency: the foundations of lasting emotional well-being.
